Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's approximate location to show nearby places. We do not track your location in the background.
Usage Data: We record your swipe activity (likes and skips), saved places, trip data, and general app usage patterns to improve recommendations and the overall experience.
Payment Information: If you subscribe to Jauntly Pro, payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card number or bank details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and personalize the App experience
- Generate place recommendations based on your swipe history
- Analyze usage trends and improve the App
- Process Jauntly Pro subscriptions
- Display relevant advertisements to free-tier users
- Send important service-related communications
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
Supabase: Database hosting, authentication, and backend services.
Google Places API: Place data, photos, and reviews. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat: Subscription management and entitlement verification for Jauntly Pro. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob: Advertisement delivery for free-tier users. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data and usage history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.

6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security policies, and secure authentication. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
